Marcus Chown

Marcus Chown is a British physicist and science writer.

Life

After studying physics Chown worked at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena. Later he began to write scientific and popular articles in journals and books. His first book Afterglow of Creation. From the Fireball to the Discovery of Cosmic Ripples in the UK was the most widely read popular science publication by Stephen Hawking's A Brief History of Time. Chown is an author and consultant for cosmological questions for the New Scientist. Marcus Chown lives near London.
