Marcus Kretzer
Marcus Kretzer ( born May 9, 1965 in Hilden ) is a German pianist and pedagogue.
Career
Marcus Kretzer spent his childhood and youth in Solingen, where he grew up in a musically influenced parents' house. At the age of seven he received his first piano lessons at the age of eight he wanted to become a concert pianist. He studied at the Czech pianist and music teacher Drahomir Toman, the Kretzer's musical development continued until 1986. After school Kretzer studied from 1986 to 1988 at the Academy of Music and Dance Cologne with Aloys Kontarsky. In 1988 he continued his studies at the Academy of Music and Theatre in Hamburg continued, completed in 1993 there additional studies Cultural Management with a diploma and completed his musical education in 1996 with the concert exam in which he, inter alia, the 3rd Piano Concerto by Rachmaninoff in the Laeiszhalle interpreted. Kretzer studied from 1996 to 1998 Ancient History at the University of Hamburg and at the same time musicology at the University of Music and Theatre in Hamburg.
Since 1979, Kretzer gives recitals and piano concertos. As a piano teacher Kretzer operates in Germany and abroad.
Artistic work
First public recitals in Germany gave Kretzer at age 14; abroad, he made his debut at age 17 at the Rudolfinum in Prague. He has participated in national and international piano competitions and won it eight first and second plurality of prices. Kretzer has performed in Europe, North and South Africa and in Central America. He played with the orchestras Arcata Stuttgart, Bergischen Chamber Orchestra, the Bergische Symphoniker, the Hamburg Bach Orchestra, the Hamburg Symphony, the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, the Magdeburg Philharmonic, the Orquestra Sinfónica Nacional de Cuba, the Orquestra Sinfónica Nacional de Guatemala, the Philharmonia of the Nations, the Sinfonia Varsovia, the Braunschweig State Orchestra and the Symfonieorkest Eindhoven.
Kretzer joined the Cubadisco (2002 and 2003), at the International Eisteddfod in South Africa ( 1985), the European Classic Festival Ruhr (2003 and 2008), the Moselle Music Festival (2000 and 2008), the Rhenish piano summer (2000 and 2008), at the Salzburg Festival (1992 ) and the Schleswig -Holstein Music Festival ( 1988, 1989 and 1993) on.
His other artistic activities include vocal accompaniment and chamber music. Kretzer was accompanist at concerts recitation with Alfred Biolek, Norbert Blum and the actors Richy Müller ( in December 2003 with the Carnival of the Animals in the Chamber Music Hall of the Berlin Philharmonic ) and Michael Trischan. Pianism and repertoire
Through his training and advanced master classes with Tatiana Nikolaeva, Sviatoslav Richter, and Aquiles Delle Vigne Nelson, Homero Francesch, Yara Bernette and Fausto Zadra combines his pianism Eastern European schools Teodor Leszetyckis and Heinrich Neuhaus ' with the South American tradition Vincenzo Scaramuzzas.
Kretzer's programmatic focus on the works of Johann Sebastian Bach, in the orchestral enlarged versions of Ferruccio Busoni, on the sonatas of Domenico Scarlatti sonatas and piano concertos of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven, Frédéric Chopin, Franz Liszt, Isaac Albéniz, Claude Debussy and Sergei Rachmaninoff. His interest in contemporary music is reflected in his recording of the piano works of Rudolf Halaczinsky. Following the romantic tradition, he created paraphrases of Argentine tangos and transcriptions of classical orchestral works for one, two and four pianos - the latter he led in 2006 and 2008 at concerts and a tour of Germany with Olivier Cazal (France ), Anna Malikova ( Russia ) and Nami Ejiri (Japan) on a piano quartet Kla4.
Education
Coinciding with his Cologne study taught Kretzer at the music and arts school in the city of Remscheid, where he also headed the Department of Piano. While studying at the Academy of Music and Theatre in Hamburg he was there initially worked as a tutor of a major class and from 1998 to 2001 as a professor. Kretzer is a lecturer at the Department of Music at the University of Osnabrück.
Since 1989, Kretzer et al gave master classes the Schleswig -Holstein Music Festival, at the Instituto Superior de Arte in Havana / Cuba, Edna Manley College for Music in Kingston / Jamaica, Conservatorio de los tres Mundos in Granada / Nicaragua, Colegio San Agustin in David / Panamá, Conservatorio Nacional de Música in Santo Domingo / Dominican Republic. Among his students Natasha García- Guinot, Francisco Paredes -Llanes, Nora Maria Lastre or Madarys Morgan Verdecia.
