Marcus Minucius Thermus

Marcus Minucius Thermus (1st century BC) was a politician and military leader of the late Roman Republic.

About Marcus Minicius Thermus little is known; its way into the history books he found, because the young Gaius Julius Caesar was under his command. The Sullans Thermus was in the year 81 BC, praetor. During his year of office or immediately thereafter, he went as governor in Asia Minor province of Asia.

During his time as propraetor 80 BC, he took the young, just 19 years old Caesar as an officer in his staff. Under Thermus ' guide Mytilene was captured on Lesbos, where Caesar and distinguished himself from him an award, the Corona Civica, was awarded.
