Marcus Paulsson

Marcus Paulsson ( born January 10, 1984 in Karlskrona ) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player who is under contract with HC Davos in the National League A since April 2013.

Career

Marcus Paulsson began his career as a hockey player with Mörrums GoIS for whose first team he made his debut in Allsvenskan, the Swedish second division was in the 2001/ 02 season. He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2002 in the fifth round as the 149th overall player of the New York Islanders, for whom he never played, however. Instead, the winger initially ran from 2002 to 2004 for the Saskatoon Blades in the Canadian junior Western Hockey League on. In the 2004/05 season he played in the Allsvenskan for the Malmö Redhawks. In parallel he was the Players out on loan for their league rivals Halmstad Hammers and Mörrums GoIS on the ice.

The 2005/06 season spent Paulsson in the Finnish SM- liiga, where he first worked for the Pelicans Lahti and then TPS Turku aground. For the 2006/07 season the Swede returned to the Malmö Redhawks, with whom he descended into the second Swedish league. There he remained for two more years before he was hired by the Elitserien participants Färjestad BK in January 2009, with whom he was Swedish Champion for the first time at the end of the season 2008 /09. He was able to repeat with his team in the 2010/11 season this success.

In April 2013 Paulsson was taken from the HC Davos of the National League A under contract.

Internationally

For Sweden Paulsson took part in the U20 World Youth Championship in 2003. During the tournament he prepared in six games before three goals.
