Mareike Adermann

Mareike Adermann ( born August 3, 1990 in Friedberg ) is a German wheelchair basketball player.

Life

Core 's hometown is eating. She began her basketball career with the TV Bensberg, but soon moved to ETB black and white. At only 14, she made ​​her debut in the Women's Regional League, but retired in her first game cruciate ligament injury. Over the next three years more ACL tears were added so that they already regarded as Sportinvalidin before they come of age.

At 18, she began her second career as a wheelchair - basketball player. They went through various junior national teams and quickly rose in the senior team. Since 2009 Adermann studied in the U.S. at the University of Wisconsin- Whitewater and played there for the UWW Warhawks. In 2010 she was with the German national team in Birmingham Vice World Champion and 2011 in Nazareth (Israel ) European champion. In 2012 she won the gold medal with the national team in the Paralympic wheelchair basketball tournament. In the final against Australia it was at 58:44 with 19 points, the best pitcher. With the Hamburger SV Adermann was German champion in 2013.
