Marek Hovorka (ice hockey)

Marek Hovorka ( born October 8, 1984 in Czechoslovakia) is a Slovak ice hockey player who is under contract with HC Kladno in the Czech Extraliga since September 2011.

Career

Marek Hovorka began his career as a hockey player with the MHC Martin, for the first team he was in the 2003/04 season his debut in the Slovak Extraliga. Subsequently, the Center spent four years in the league rivals MHk 32 Liptovsky Mikulas, when he the 2007/08 season at HC Slovan Ustecti Lvi ended in the Czech Extraliga, from which he descended with his team at the end of the season. The season 2008/ 09 he joined his former club MHC Martin of the Slovak Extraliga and finished it at the meanwhile playing in the Czech league 1 HC Slovan Ustecti Lvi. From 2009 to 2011, he continued to play for Ustecti Lvi in the first league, while he was standing parallel to the Czech Extraliga participants BK Mlada Boleslav and HC Kladno on the ice.

For the 2011/12 season Hovorka moved firmly to the HC Kladno. In his first full season in the Czech Extralig he scored a total of 55 games in 33 scorer points, including 15 goals.

Internationally

For Slovakia Hovorka participated in the 2012 World Championships, where he won the silver medal with his team.
