Marek Jan Chodakiewicz

Marek January Chodakiewicz (born 1962 in Warsaw) is an American historian of Polish descent and author of several books with a focus on the history of Central - Eastern Europe in the 19th and 20th century Jewish- Polish relations.

Life

In 1988, Chodakiewicz his studies at San Francisco State University. In 2001 he received his doctorate from Columbia University and in 2003 he was professor of history at the Institute of World Politics in Washington, DC. In April 2005, President George W. Bush appointed him to the United States Holocaust Memorial Council.

Chodakiewicz lives in the United States.
