Marek Kvapil

Marek Kvapil ( born January 5, 1985 in Ilava, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech ice hockey player who is under contract with the OHK Dynamo in the Kontinental Hockey League since April 2011.

Career

Marek Kvapil began his career as a hockey player in the youth of the HC Slavia Prague, for the first team, he made his debut in the Czech Extraliga during the season 2003/ 04. In his rookie year, the attacker was point and impunity in eleven games and was runner-up with his team. He also ran four times for the HC Kometa Brno from the 1st league this season.

Then changed the links Sagittarius to the Saginaw Spirit in the Ontario Hockey League. Then Kvapil has been selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2005 in the sixth round as 163 players from the Tampa Bay Lightning, where he remained, however, without the use of the National Hockey League. Instead, he ran from 2005 to 2008 for their farm team of the American Hockey League, the Springfield Falcons and Norfolk Admirals, as well as for the Johnstown Chiefs and Mississippi Sea Wolves of the ECHL on.

In summer 2008, Kvapil returned to his Czech homeland, where he received a contract with HC Vitkovice Steel in the Extraliga. He also scored in the 2008/ 09 season in four games for the HC VOKD Poruba from the first six league scorer points, including four goals. After two successful seasons in Ostrava, he joined in July 2010 within the Extraliga for HC Kometa Brno, with which he achieved in 2011 the league in the relegation. In April 2011, he was taken from OHK Dynamo of the Kontinental Hockey League contract.

Internationally

For the Czech Republic Kvapil took part in the U20 World Youth Championship 2005, where he won the bronze medal with his team. At the World Championships 2010 he won the gold medal in the Men's Selection Czech Republic.
