Marek Nikl

Marek Nikl [ marɛk ɲikl ] ( born February 20, 1976 in Nymburk ) is a former Czech football player.

Career

Nikl began playing football in the youth team Bohemians Prague. In 1994 he moved to Sparta Krc, but the very next year he went back to Czech history, the club Bohemians Prague, with the 1996 he succeeded in becoming the first Czech league.

In November 1998 Nikl transferred to 1 FC Nuremberg in the Bundesliga. Twice he went out and back with the club, and was for eight years in both classes to support the club defense. In the season 2006/07, however, he was then replaced by the young, very successful defensive talent in the second row. However, he was allowed to play from the start in the Cup Final in Berlin, as a regular player Honorato Gláuber turned out short term and coach Hans Meyer continued to experience this time. The FCN won the game 3-2 after extra time.

In the 2007 /08 season Nikl moved because of the new entries back into second place and should help the firm support of the second team in the Bavarian League. However, the dissatisfaction with the situation led to a premature termination of the contract in September 2007, the FCN wanted without putting any obstacles in the way. Marek Nikl moved back to the Czech Republic to his original club Bohemians 1905 Prague. After the 2011/12 season he has finished his career and has since worked at the 1st FC Nuremberg as a scout.

For the Czech national football team, he has made five appearances, all during his time at the " Club".
