Marek Ostrowski

Marek Ostrowski ( born November 22, 1959 in Skrwilno ) is a former Polish football player.

Club career

Marek Ostrowski played most of his career at Pogoń Szczecin in Poland, where he rose to 181 games and 24 goals in the Ekstraklasa. Previously, he played among others with Wisła Płock already in the third Polish League, and from 1978 to 1980 at Stoczniowiec Gdańsk in the second division. In 1989 he moved to Austria in the second division for VfB Mödling and the SV Stockerau, where he won the OFB Cup with the latter in 1991 and took part in the European Cup. His last club as an active football player was the SC Klosterneuburg 1912, to which he moved after five years at Stockerau 1995.

National team career

Marek Ostrowski played 37 A- international matches for the Polish national football team and participated in the 1986 World Cup in Mexico. In the national team he debuted on January 25, 1981 in Tokyo in a 2-0 win over Japan. His last international game he played on 27 October 1987 in Bratislava in the 1-3 defeat against Czechoslovakia.
