Marek Plawgo

Marek Plawgo ( born February 25, 1981 in Ruda Śląska ) is a Polish sprinter and hurdler.

Marek Plawgos special discipline is the 400 - meter hurdles. In addition, he regularly for Polish 4 x 400 m relay started in international championships. With 48.12 seconds he is the current Polish record holder in the 400m hurdles. The more times Polish champion won at the 2002 European Indoor Championships in Vienna the gold medal in the 400 -meter run. At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, he latched on to the sixth place 400-meter hurdles.

In 2006, he won the European Championships in Gothenburg in 48.71 seconds behind the silver Greeks Periklis Iakovakis. At the 2007 World Championships in Osaka, he improved in the semifinals and in the finals each his own national record. He won the bronze medal behind Kerron Clement and Félix Sánchez with a final time of 48.12 s
