Margarete Rabe

Margarete Rabe ( born October 2, 1923 in Neustadt- Glewe ) was between November 1944 and April 1945 a guard in two Nazi concentration camps.

Raven applied in 1944 for a position as a supervisor. Since November 7, 1944, she was employed in the Ravensbrück concentration camp. There she abused from the beginning of its work, female prisoners and was notorious among the prisoners because of their brutality.

Raven was later transferred to the extermination camp Uckermark, where she was Ruth Closius - Neudeck assumed. There she took part in the selection of about 3,000 women and children for the gas chambers. In April 1945, Raven fled from the camp. In the third Ravensbrück process of the British occupation forces in Germany Raven was sentenced to life imprisonment, which in 1950 was converted into a 21- year prison sentence.

On 26 February, 1954 ( according to other sources on June 16, 1959) Margarete Rabe was released early from prison.
