Margitta Pufe

Margitta Pufe, born Ludewig, divorced Droese ( born September 10, 1952 in Gera ) is a German athlete who had until 1980 from the mid-1970s - starting for the GDR - one of the world's best shot putters and discus throwers inside. Her biggest success is the bronze medal at the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow.

Achievements

Margitta Pufe launched for the SC Motor Jena and trained with Ingrid Kleppe. In her playing days, she was 1.80 m tall and weighed 90 kg. After the end of their sports career, she worked as a sports coordinator at the VEB Carl Zeiss Jena.
