Marguerite Monnot

Marguerite Monnot ( born May 28, 1903 in Decize ( Nièvre), † 12 October 1961, Paris) was a French composer and pianist.

Monnot began her career at the age of three years, at age 16, she studied at the Paris Conservatoire. At 22, she turned to the song and worked for 25 years along with Édith Piaf, she composed for the major successes as Milord and Hymne à l' amour.
