Maria Areosa

Maria Areosa (full name: Maria Costa Macedo Areosa Ribeiro ), ( born 14 September 1984) is a Portuguese professional triathlete, Portuguese Duathlon Champion of 2010 and a permanent member of the Portuguese national team.

Career

In the ten years from 2001 to 2010 Areosa took part in 31 ITU competitions and achieved eleven top- ten finishes, including two European Cup gold medals. In the 2011 season Areosa also started with a top ten finish in Quarteira, so it counts even after more than ten years in international sporting events unbroken the world's elite. The official ranking of the Portuguese Triathlon Federation for the year 2010 Areosa was ranked at number 14. However Areosa attended only one of the four evaluated competitions, so this ranking is not very meaningful.

In 2010 Areosa also participated in the Portuguese Triathlon XTERRA European Tour in Figueira da Foz part and finished third.

In Portugal Areosa occurs at the Clube Olímpico de Oeiras.
