MarÃa Emilia Salerni
María Emilia Salerni ( born May 14, 1983 in Rafaela ) is a former Argentine tennis player.
Career
Salerni began at the age of four years playing tennis. In 2000, she won the junior title at Wimbledon and the U.S. Open. In the same year she took part in the Sydney Olympics, where she was eliminated in the second round against Barbara Schett.
In her career she won 12 singles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit. In doubles, she came up with two WTA and ITF ten titles. Between 2000 and 2008 she had 28 missions ( including 16 wins) for the Argentine Fed Cup team.
