Maria Fisker

Maria Fisker ( born October 3, 1990 in Favrskov ) is a Danish handball player who belonged to the squad of the Danish national team.

Career

In the club

Fisker began at the age of five years playing handball at the Danish club Vissing Hadsten HK (short: VHHK ). In 2005 she moved to the youth department of Randers HK. Fisker joined a year later at Viborg HK. With their youth team, they won the 2007 Danish championship.

On 30 August 2007, the former youth player was first used in a pre-season game of the women's team Viborg HK. In the first game of the season women's team on September 8, 2007, compared SK Aarhus, she made her debut in the highest Danish league and scored one goal. From 28 October 2007, the winger was also used in the EHF Champions League. Due to the pregnancy of Henriette Mikkelsen and injury-related loss of Christina Roslyng, she had on the outside left position big play. Due to the service provided, she received a professional contract with Viborg in February 2008. In their first season they scored a total of 28 goals in 21 competitive stakes.

In their first season in Randers, she won the EHF Cup and contributed to the success of 45 results. After she was runner-up in the following season, she returned to Viborg HK.

At the end of the first season after returning to VKM, Fisker was elected to the All-Star Team of the Danish league. In the 2012/13 season Fisker had to suspend largely due to a serious elbow injury.

In the National Team

Fisker initially ran on for the Danish Youth and Junior National Men Schadt. With these selected teams they finished sixth in the U17 European Championship in 2007, won the bronze medal at the U- 18 World Cup in 2008 and won at the U19 European Championship in 2009 the 13th Place.

Fisker has been declining since September 24, 2010 for the Danish national team for goals. The World Cup 2011 in Brazil was their first major tournament. She threw 23 goals in nine games and finished with Denmark in fourth place. After Fisker had to pause at the European Championships in 2012 due to their elbow injury, she was at the World Championship 2013 in Serbia back to the Danish squad.
