Mariä Heimsuchung (Munich)

Visitation is a Catholic parish church in Munich.

The church was built in 1933-1934 romanisierenden style of Oswald Bieber and government architect Wilhelm Hollweck in the Westend street in Munich's Westend. The new building was necessary due to the strong growth of the mother parish of St. Rupert. The foundation stone was laid on October 1, 1933, the church was consecrated on 28 October 1934 by Cardinal Faulhaber. The relief over the portal of the church, the eponymous Visitation of Mary to Elizabeth is shown. Likewise, the apostles Peter and Paul standing with their attributes key, Tiara and sword carved in stone on the facade.

In the 1950s, also a daycare center was still built with staff accommodation.
