Maria Herrmann-Kaufmann

Maria Herrmann- Kaufmann ( born January 19, 1921 in Escholzmatt; † January 16, 2008 in Emmen bridge ) was a Swiss painter.

Life

Maria Herrmann- Kaufmann was born and raised in Escholzmatt in Entlebuch. Your second home, however, was Emmen Bridge, a suburb of Lucerne. In her studio in the neighborhood Sprengi she created most of their works.

Landscapes and village scenes influenced her early works. Maria Herrmann- Kaufmann became known, however, through abstract works with bold colors and by the representations of fish. In the meantime, Black coined her paintings, where there always shone light and bright colors. Her art works are signed with the acronym MIC. A large part of her work is in private or public ownership, the artistic estate is administered by a foundation.

She trained at the School of Design, Lucerne, Académie de la Grande Chaumiere, Paris, at Ronald Kocher ( Bern ), Otto Kuhn ( Boswil ), Alfred Sidler ( Lucerne), Fred Stauffer (Bern) and Adolf Weber ( Menziken ).

Since 1956 she exhibited her works in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Bern, Lucerne, Emmen bridge, train, Buchenrain, Kriens, Flühlen, Fluhli - Sören Berg, Schüpfheim, Porrentruy, Mendrisio, Escholzmatt, and Osnabrück.

She died on 16 January 2008 Betagtenzentrum ALP in Emmen bridge.
