Maria of the Palatinate-Simmern

Anna Maria of the Palatinate ( born July 24, 1561 Heidelberg, † July 29, 1589 in Eskilstuna ) was a Countess Palatine of simmering and Princess of the Palatinate and by marriage Swedish Crown Princess.

Life

Anna Maria was the eldest daughter of the Elector Ludwig VI. of the Palatinate (1539-1583) from his marriage to Elizabeth (1539-1582), daughter of Count Philipp I of Hesse.

During a visit with her father held Duke Charles of Södermanland, who afterwards became Swedish King Charles IX. , By the hand of the 15 -year-old princess.
