Maria-sama ga Miteru

Roses under Mary's care (Japaneseマリア様がみてる, Maria- sama ga Miteru (often abbreviated as Marimite ); literally as: The Virgin Mary is watching ) is a light novel series of the Japanese author Oyuki Konno, also known as Anime and Manga has been implemented.

Action

Yumi goes to the lowest level of the Catholic Lillian Girls' High School, where it is common for older students one of the younger than her sister ( soeur; japan for sister; French for sister and Imoto (妹). ) Accept and to care of them. Creation and publication

The novel series is published in April 1998 by Shueisha publishing in the magazine Cobalt, and so far includes 35 volumes. The drawings for the novels designed Reine Hibiki. The series was a one-shot entitled Maria- sama ga Miteru ahead in the same magazine in February 1997.

In German the light novel appeared as Roses under Mary's care at Tokyopop. Due to poor sales, the release of the novels was discontinued after 5 volumes until further notice.

Adaptations

Manga

Since October 2003, but a manga implementation of the novels, drawn by Satoru Nagasawa will appear in individual chapters, first to Margaret, one is directing to young girls Japanese manga magazine, now in its sister magazine The Margaret. Tokyopop released the manga series in German in the previous eight volumes of the manga series. Tong Li published the manga in Taiwan.

Anime

A 13- episode anime series of light novel was created in 2004, directed by Yukihiro Matsushita and was produced by the animation studio Studio DEEN. The character design designed Akira Matsushima and the artistic director had Nobuto Sakamoto held. The series was broadcast on January 7, 2004 to March 31, 2004 by TV Tokyo in Japan. Another anime series with 13 Haru (春~ ~マリア様がみてる), also with 13 episodes, she ran until September 26, 2004 - As of 4 July 2004 was followed by a second season under the title Maria- sama ga Miteru. Music

The music of the series composed Mikiya Katakura. The biasing titles are Pastel Pure by Mikiya Katakura and Pastel Pure by Ali Project.
