Maria Teresa Sobieska

Maria Teresa Sobieska ( born October 18, 1673 Gniew, † December 7, 1675 in Zhovkva ) was a Polish princess, daughter of John III. Sobieski and Marie Louise de la Grange d' Casimire Arquien.

Biography

Maria Teresa was called by her parents Menonka. When her father became king, he decided that he wanted to be baptized his two daughters during the coronation festivities. The King Charles II of England and Queen Maria Theresa of France should be Maria Teresa's godfather. But she died a few months before the coronation of her father. The death of his beloved daughter rushed Sobieski in deep despair, which were reflected in the letters of the spouses during this time. Maria Teresa Sobieska was buried in the parish church in Zhovkva.
