Mariandls homecoming is an Austrian folk film by Werner Jacobs from the year 1962. He is the direct sequel to the film Mariandl from the year 1961.

Action

Mariandl returns from Durnstein to Vienna, where she studied at the Vienna Academy of Music piano. A year later she is visited by Grandpa Windisch Gruber, who has come into an inheritance: A cousin has her estate bequeathed to him in the Wachau, which has already blossomed in the fantasy Windisch Gruber to a castle. During a visit to the estate he and Mariandl land initially to a castle, which, however, is only available for sale. The real estate turns out to be run-down farmhouse with chickens and horses. With their fellow students from the Academy of Music Mariandl plans to secretly act as a band in the bar Mirama and earn money with the hits.
