Marianna Sastin

Marianna Sastin (* July 10, 1983 in Mosonmagyaróvár ) is a Hungarian wrestler. It was 2005 Vice World Champion and 2007 European silver medalist in the weight category to 59 kg body weight.

Career

Marianna Sastin began as a teenager at SC Delta Mosonmagyaróvár with the rings. The young athlete yet reached the junior age the Hungarian top class and therefore moved to Budapest Vasas SC and a little later to Budapest Csepel SC. Training was or will be by Zoltan Gulyas, Zsolt Bankuti and Akos Wöller. She is a student. On 1 May 2011 she married her coach Akos Wöller, who was active as a wrestler in the German Bundesliga at SV Siegfried Hallbergmoos and the AV Germania 06 Mark Neukirchen.

Her international career began Ringer at the Junior European Championships in Budapest in 1999, where she finished in the age group " Juniors " in the weight class up to 50 kg the 6th Place. In 2000, she won at the Junior European Championship in the age group " Cadets " in Bratislava in the weight category to 56 kg body weight behind the Russian Julia Bartnowskaja the 2nd place. That was the best result that they achieved as Juniorenringerin.

Her debut in the adult she gave at the European Championships in 2001 in Budapest. She lost there but in the weight category to 56 kg body weight against Konstantina Tsibanakou Katerina from Greece and against Christina Oertli from Germany, finishing in 12th place. Very well they fared in the 2003 World Cup in New York City, because they missed there just barely with a 4th place medal ranks. She celebrated then at the 2005 World Championships, which took place back in Budapest your greatest success. With victories over Stephanie Meier Hofer of Austria, Anna Swirydowska from Poland and Sally Roberts from the United States and one defeat in the final against Ayako Shoda of Japan, she became vice - world champion there.

Also at the World Championships in Guangzhou delivered Marianna Sastin good fights and won in the weight category to 59 kg body weight against Johanna Mattsson from Sweden, Jacqueline Renteria from Colombia and Stüber Stefanie from Germany. However, after defeats against Su Lihui from China and Natalia Shimishin from Ukraine she missed 5th place medal places. A medal she won again at the European Championships in 2007 in Sofia. She lost there only in the final battle against Ida -Theres Nerell from Sweden and thus became vice - European champion. At the 2007 World Championships in Baku, they were held to a victory and ended after losing to Elena Schaligina from Kazakhstan and Helena Allandi from Sweden only in 13th place.

In 2008, Marianna Sastin could qualify for participation in the Ringer competitions at the Olympic Games in Beijing. In Beijing, however, she was defeated in the weight class up to 63 kg already in their first fight against Martine Dugrenier from Canada. Since these did not reach the final, she left and came only to 15th place.

In 2009, she then won at the World Championships in Herning / Denmark in the weight category to 59 kg body weight with the 3rd place a medal again. After a defeat in the semi-final against Julia Radke Malevich from Azerbaijan, they won the bronze medal with a win over Deanna Rix from the United States. Another medal she won at the 2010 European Championships in Baku, namely a bronze. Towards this medal defeating among others Yvonne Englich - Hees from Germany. With a 5th place at the World Cup 2010 in Moscow and another 5th place at the European Championship 2011 in Dortmund, they also cut in the last two international championships from quite excellent, although it missed both less than a medal.

At the 2012 Olympic Games in London Marianna Sastin lost her first fight against the European champion Yulia Ostapchuk of Ukraine. Since this wrestler but did not reach the final, she left and got 11th.
