Marianne Noack

Marianne Noack ( born October 5, 1951 in Rostock, according to Marianne Marriage Paulick ) is a former German gymnast devices, which belonged to the GDR 's national team from 1967 to 1972. She started for the SC Empor Rostock.

Career

Marianne Noack fell in the youth championship in 1966 by a back handspring on the balance beam. At the European Championships in 1967 she was nominated as a substitute gymnast. As a third party, the East German championship in the all around 1968, she was part of the East German team at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico. Maritta Bauer Schmidt, Karin Janz, Marianne Noack, Magdalena Schmidt, Ute Strong and Erika Zuchold occupied in the team standings to third place behind the squads from the Soviet Union and Czechoslovakia. In the individual competition Marianne Noack finished in 27th place in the all around. 1969 won Marianne Noack in the horse jump her only East German champion. In multiplayer battle she won also in 1969 and 1970 respectively in third place. The 1970 World Cup was held in Ljubljana. The East German team with Angelika Hellmann, Karin Janz, Marianne Noack, Richarda bouncer, Christine Schmitt and Erika Zuchold won silver behind the Soviet gymnasts. As the Eleventh More struggle Marianne Noack could not qualify for apparatus finals. 1972 Noack took on beam again the third place in the GDR Championship.

After her career, she completed a sports studies and coached the gymnasts of the SC Cottbus.
