Marianne Stone

Marianne Stone ( born August 23, 1922 in London, † 21 December 2009) was a British actress.

Life

Stone, born in King's Cross, has been brought up by their grandparents, who owned several furniture stores. Stone was born into a musical family. Your grandmother led a music school with over 100 students. Although as a young Marianne won a music scholarship, which should help her to a place of study at the prestigious Royal College of Music, it was always to be her greatest wish, Actress. After training as a stenographer, she worked as a typist in a bank. 1940 Stone eventually won a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art

From the early 1940s until the late 1980s, she starred in more than two hundred films. Mostly they mimed working class people as waitresses, secretaries and landladies. Between 1963 and 1976 worked Stone in nine episodes of the Carry-on ... film series.

Marianne Stone was married from 1947 to 1997 with the theater critic and film historian Peter Noble ( 1917-1997 ).
