Mariano Hood

Mariano Hood ( born August 14, 1973 in Buenos Aires ) is a former Argentine tennis player.

Life and career

Hood was dedicated in his career, especially on the double. He won 13 ATP titles, mainly on the side of his compatriots Lucas Arnold Ker and Sebastián Prieto. On 27 October 2003 he reached rank 20 with his best finish in the double world rankings.

Particular caused a stir Hood in 2005, after he had reached the quarterfinals at the French Open: He was taking finasteride demonstrated that not enhance performance, but more difficult to prove performance-enhancing agents such as anabolic steroids. The ITF locked Hood, who then wanted to end his career first. In 2008 he started his comeback and made his last game in 2009.
