Mariano Pavone

Hugo Mariano Pavone, short Mariano Pavone ( born May 27, 1982 in Tres Sargentos, Argentina) is an Argentine footballer who plays in La Liga at CA River Plate.

Playing career

Estudiantes de La Plata

At the age of 14 years, Mariano Pavone left his youth club Boca Juniors in the direction of Estudiantes de La Plata, where he played for the next 11 years. He quickly showed his talent and in the Clausura 2005 he was top scorer with 16 goals. During the Apertura 2006 he was voted the best player of the tournament. With his goal to make it 2-1 in the final against Boca Juniors he sealed the triumph of his team. In this tournament, the Apertura 2006, he scored a total of 11 goals.

Real Betis

For € 6.8 million in the summer of 2007, he moved to Spanish club Real Betis tradition. On August 26, 2007 on the opening day of the 2007/2008 season, he made his debut for Betis against Recreativo Huelva. Meanwhile, he has found his scoring touch in Spain's top flight and scored 6 goals in the first round.

River Plate

In summer 2010, Pavone returned to his home country and plays for River Plate.

Internationally

Its so far the only countries Match of the Argentine Mariano Pavone on 18 April 2007 against Chile.
