Mariano Piccoli
Mariano Piccoli ( born September 11, 1970 in Trento ) is an Italian former racing cyclist.
His greatest success of the 1.72 m wide climbers especially in his home at the Giro d' Italia. Here he was twice in a row (1995, 1996) to win the green jersey as the winner of the mountains classification. He also won the points classification of the Giro in 1998. Overall Piccoli celebrated in his career at the three big tours six days successes, including three wins in the Giro d' Italia and the Vuelta a España in. His best finish in the overall standings of the three grand tours he celebrated in 1995 with the 20th place in the Giro d' Italia.
