Marianowo, West Pomeranian Voivodeship
Marianowo ( German Marienfließ ) is a village and seat of the eponymous municipality in the country Stargardzki powiat ( county Stargard in Pomerania ), Poland. It is located 16 km north-east of Stargard ( Stargard in Pomerania ) on the Krępa ( Nonnenbach ) below of the Great Lake ( Jezioro Marianowskie ).

Village Marianowo ( Marienfließ )
History
In 1248 Duke Barnim I built a Cistercian monastery Marienfließ and gave him land for colonization. In 1569 the monastery was converted into a pen for noble lady. The place was one of the foundations of the village nuns. Between 1688 and 1690 was rebuilt of brick church, which was in 1892 further enhanced by the addition of a steeple on the west side.
In the 17th century Marienfließ official residence for the villages ball Brüsewitz, Büche, Dahlow, Goldbeck, Marienfließ, Pegelow, Rehwinkel, Small Schlatikow, Treptow and Zarnikow with the associated outworks Marienfließ, Mößin and Treptow an der Rega. In the period 1653-1662 was Ewald von Kleist bailiff of Marienfließ.
Between 1816 and 1945 Marienfließ belonged to the Pomeranian County of Pomerania. 1905 had the rural community of 630 residents, was added nor the Gutsbezirk with 192 people. In 1933 lived in the village of 1,025 inhabitants, in 1939 there were 1,031. On March 2, 1945, many residents fled the approaching Red Army the village. After the Second World War the city became part of Poland.
Tourist
The summer spectacle Lato z SYDONIA reminiscent of the 1620 in Stettin as a witch who was executed by Borcke Sidonia ( 1548-1620 ), who lived in the Fräuleinstift.
Besides the monastery buildings, the Church of the Immaculate Conception of Mary is with the therein altar of the holy Mother of God of Fatima is an important cultural monument of the place.

The rural community Marianowo covers an area of 101.75 km ² and is therefore in terms of area at 97th place of the 114 municipalities in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. With 3,127 inhabitants, it is the 107th place. From 1975 to 1998, the Gmina belonged to the Province of Szczecin.
The municipality is crossed by the river Krępa ( Nonnenbach ), which opens in the northwest in the Krąpiel ( Krampehl ).
The entire community has the uniform postal code 73-121.

Traffic
One of the main roads in Pomeranian, the provincial road (DK) 20 of Stargard to Gdynia ( Gdynia ) - the former German Empire Road 158 - runs through the northwestern part of the community. Formerly built as a section of the autobahn Berlin- Königsberg - - Coming of Szczecin ( Voßberg ), a little later in the district of Gmina Lisowo ending Chociwel ( Freiwalde ) In the north also the voivodeship (DW) 142 runs.
Rails
Since 1859 the railway line Stargard in Pomerania to Koszalin ( Koszalin ) in operation, which was expanded in 1870 to Gdansk.
