Maricourt
Maricourt is a northern French village with 168 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) by the Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality belongs to the canton Combles and since January 1, 2013 part of the Communauté de communes du Pays du Coquelicot ( previously Communauté de communes du canton de Combles ).
Geography
The community is located approximately 14.5 km west-northwest of Combles at the Department of Road D938 Combles Albert at the Circuit de Souvenir, reminiscent of the Battle of the Somme in 1916. It extends south to the valley of the meandering here Somme.
History
The municipality received the Croix de guerre as a distinction from 1914 to 1918.
