Marie Dollinger

Marie Dollinger ( born October 28, 1910 in Langenzenn; † August 10, 1995 in Nuremberg) was a German track and field athlete.

Participations

Marie Dollinger is the only German track and field athlete before 1945, who took part in the Olympic Games three times. However, they always had this bad luck. In 1928 she was tactically still too immature, 1931, she presented with 2:16,8 min, although the world record in the 800 -meter run on, but then this line for women was abolished. In 1932 she was seconded as the only German sprinter to Olympia to Los Angeles. So she had to walk with a putter and two javelin throwers, in the 4 x 100 - meter relay. At the Olympic Games in Berlin in 1936, the 4 x 100 - meter relay ran in the lineup Emmy Albus, Käthe Krauss, Marie Dollinger, Ilse Dörffeldt in advance a world record, but in the final - clearly in the lead - fell at the last change the rod.
