Marie Kudeříková

Marie Kudeříková ( born March 24, 1921 in Vnorovy, † March 26, 1943 in Breslau) was a Czech student and activist of the Czechoslovak anti -fascist resistance.

Life

Marie Kudeříková attended high school in the Moravian Strážnice, which was named in 1956 in her honor after her. After high school in 1940 she attended a language school in Veverská Bítýška. Here she began to participate in illegal resistance work, they took contact with various of the Communist party affiliated youth organizations and worked partly in their governing bodies. Their activities consisted of copying and distribution of illegal newspapers and magazines, but she was also involved in acts of sabotage.

On 5 December 1941, she was arrested and interrogated in Brno and Prague; she was sentenced by the Court in Wroclaw death on November 16, 1942, and beheaded on 26 March 1943.

From death row inmates helped her some, a total of 32 sheets and letters to smuggle out, which were published in 1961 in an anthology.

Because of their affiliation with the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia, their role was overestimated by the communist regime in Czechoslovakia.
