Marie Laforêt
Marie Laforet ( MAITENA Marie Brigitte Doumenach ) ( born October 5, 1939 in Soulac -sur -Mer, Gironde ) is a French chanson singer who first appeared in various films. Only later she found her way back to the guitar. She released several albums.
Her films include Only the sun witnessed with Alain Delon and Happy Easter with Jean -Paul Belmondo and Sophie Marceau. On the side of Belmondo she also starred in The Greyhound and The Magnificent.
In recent years they played mainly theater. For their interpretation of Maria Callas in Terrence McNally's play Master Class, she was nominated twice for the French theater price Molière for best actress.
