Marieke van der Wal ( born November 7, 1979 in Delft) is a Dutch Handball.

Career

Marieke van der Wal began in his youth with the Handball at the Van der Voort / Quintus, where she played from 1998 in the women's team. In 2003, she moved to V & L Geleen and two years later the German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund, where she signed a two year contract. After the expiry of the contract, the 1.83 meter tall goalkeeper in 2007 went to Spain, where initially at CB moose, and from 2009 it in SD Itxako played with which they won the championship in 2010. For the 2010/11 season, she returned to the Bundesliga and stood at Frisch Auf Göppingen between the posts, but they left again in December 2010 and to France for HAC Handball changed. Since the 2011/12 season she played in Cergy -Pontoise Handball 95

Van der Wal has played 166 international matches for the Dutch national team. She participated in the 2010 European Championships and the World Championships in 2011 and 2013.
