Marienborg

Marie Borg is a manor house in Denmark. It serves as the summer residence of the Danish Prime Minister.

Marie Borg is located approximately 15 kilometers north of Copenhagen on Bagsvaerd lake in the municipality of Lyngby - Taarbæk region Hovedstadsområdet. The property extends to 8.8 ha

1745 the mansion for the Director of Asiatisk Kompagni Olfert Fischer Fas was built. In 1795 it was acquired by Chamberlain Johan Frederik Linde Crone, according to his wife Marie BOLETTE possession is named today. 1934 bought the lawyer and art collector Christian Ludvig David the manor and gave it back in 1960 the Danish state for representative purposes.
