Marietje Schaake
Marietje Schaake ( born October 28, 1978 in Leiden) is a Dutch politician of the Democraten 66 ( D66 ).
Life
After her school years at Montessori Lyceum in The Hague Schaake studied Fine Arts at Wittenburg University in Ohio, United States. She then moved to the University of Amsterdam, where she studied sociology, American studies and media studies. Besides her studies Schaake was involved in politics and a member of the party Democraten 66 Since 2009 Schaake is as deputies of the 66 democrats in the European parliament. There she is a member of the Group of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe. Schaake lives in Amsterdam.

Schaake is a member of the Committee on Culture and Education and the Delegation for relations with the United States. As a deputy she is in the Committee on Foreign Affairs, the Committee on International Trade and the Delegation for relations with Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and Kosovo and the delegation for relations with Iran.
