Marik Vos-Lundh

Marik Vos - Lundh (birth name: Marie- Anne Ericsson; born June 3, 1923 in Petrograd, Soviet Union, † 13 July 1994 in Vamlingbo, Gotland, Sweden) was a native of the Soviet Union Swedish masks and costume, the one among other won Oscar for Best Costume Design, and two more times was nominated for an Oscar in this category.

Life

Marik Vos - Lundh began her career as a hairdresser and makeup artist, then in 1958 as a costume designer in the film industry in the TV movie Hughie and took part in the costume outfit of eight films.

In 1961 she was first nominated for the Oscar for Best Costume Design, and indeed for The Virgin Spring (1960 ) by Ingmar Bergman with Max von Sydow, Birgitta Valberg and Birgitta Pettersson in the lead roles. A second nomination for an Oscar in this category she received in 1974 for Cries and Whispers ( 1972) by Ingmar Bergman Harriet Andersson, Kari Sylwan and Ingrid Thulin.

At the Academy Awards in 1984 they finally won the Oscar for Best Costume Design in the also directed by Ingmar Bergman with Bertil Guve, Pernilla Allwin and Allan Edwall film Fanny and Alexander ( 1982). For this film, she was also nominated in 1984 Award for the best costumes for the British Academy Film.
