Marika Rivera

Marika Rivera ( born November 13, 1919 in Paris, † January 14, 2010 in Charlton Down, Dorset ) was a French actress.

Biography

Marika Rivera was the illegitimate daughter of the Mexican artist Diego Rivera and the artist Marija Bronislawowna Worobjowa - Stebelskaja, known by the stage name " Marewna ". Diego Rivera, who was married to Angelina Beloff in 1911, Marika did not participate as a daughter. She grew up with her mother, who was later romantically involved with Chaim Soutine. Rivera received dance and drama classes. In 1938 she married the painter Jean Paul Brusset and got from him a son named Jean Brusset. In his second marriage, she was married to Philip Rodney, the 1949-1957 Athelhampton the House was in English Dorset. There she gave birth in 1949 to her second son David Philip. After the second marriage she lived with her children and her mother in Ealing, a suburb of London. The last years of her life she spent back in Dorset.

As an actress, Rivera toured with a "one- woman show " by England, but also played in ensemble pieces. Among her films and Fellini's Casanova Darling stand out where she could bring her dynamic personality to bear.
