Marilyn Bowering

Marilyn Bowering ( born April 13, 1949 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada ) is a Canadian poet, writer and playwright.

Life

Marilyn Bowering was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and later grew up in Victoria, British Columbia, on. Having lived in Seville, Spain for several years, she currently lives they in Sooke, British Columbia. The author is married and has one daughter.

After numerous nominations Bowering won the 1998 BC Book Prizes to the Ethel Wilson Fiction belonging Prize for her work Visible Worlds.

Two of her novels have been translated into German, one into Finnish.
