Marilyn Miller
Marilyn Miller ( born September 1, 1898 in Eansville, Indiana, † April 7, 1936 in New York City, Civic Mary Ellen Reynolds ) in the 1920s was a well known American musical star and a tap dancer.
First she gained prominence in the Florenz Ziegfeld production Sally through her performance with the song Look for the Silver Lining. Marilyn's greatest success was in her numerous appearances on Broadway during the twenties. However, her film career was not successful; she appeared in only three films with: in an arrangement by Sally ( Cecily, 1929), by Sunny (1930) and Her Majesty, Love ( 1933).
From 1922 to 1927 she was married to actor Jack Pickford, brother of film star Mary Pickford.
For a long time Marilyn Miller had to suffer Kieferhöhlenvereiterung; she died of complications during surgery of their nasal cavities 1936.
Marilyn Miller was buried at the cemetery Woodlawn Cemetery in The Bronx.
