Marilyn Waring

Marilyn Joy Waring, CNZM ( born October 7, 1952 in Ngaruawahia ) is a New Zealand politician and feminist. She has a Ph.D. in economic policy.

Waring in 1975 at age 23 the youngest member of the New Zealand Parliament and was until 1984 the House of Representatives on. At the time of her election she was only the fifteenth woman ever elected to the New Zealand Parliament.
