Marina Trandenkova

Marina Evgenevna Trandenkowa (Russian Марина Евгеньевна Транденкова, English transcription Marina Trandenkova, . Born January 7, 1967 in Riga) is a former Russian sprinter.

The greatest success of her career, she celebrated at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona in the 4 x 100 meters relay with the United team. Together with Olga Bogoslowskaja, Galina Malt Gina schools and Irina Priwalowa she won in 42.16 s the silver medal behind the relay of the United States and before the team from Nigeria. At the European Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 1994, she won another silver medal in the relay. Together with Natalya Anissimowa, Galina Malt Gina schools and Irina Priwalowa she had to admit defeat in a time of 42.96 min, only the quartet from Germany.

At the World Athletics Championships in Gothenburg in 1995 it was about 200 m Seventh, at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta in the 100 -meter run fifth. In 1997 she took at the World Championships in Athens to sixth place in the 200 -meter run. Two years later at the World Championships in Seville they failed, however, already in the quarter-final round. Both in 1997 and 1999, she missed with the Russian relay each the final.

At the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000, she started in the 100 - and 200 - meter dash, but did not survive the first round in both disciplines. The Russian team finished second in the 4 x 100 - meter relay, first to fifth place and moved on the subsequent disqualification of the U.S. relay to fourth place before.

Marina Trandenkowa is 1,70 m tall and weighed to their active 60 kg. She is married to the former Russian pole vaulter Igor Trandenkow.
