Marina Zueva

Marina Olegovna Sujewa (Russian Марина Олеговна Зуева; born April 9, 1956 in Moscow) is a former Soviet ice skater and current Eistanztrainerin.

Career

Together with her Eistanzpartner Andrei Witman Sujewa 1977 Fifth in the World and European Championships and 1978 European Championship and World Cup Sixth - Seventh.

End of the seventies ended Sujewa their competitive career and took up an apprenticeship as a choreographer. For her thesis at the National Theatre in Moscow she choreographed a program for Gordejewa Ekaterina and Sergei Grinkow. All the eighties years she continued to choreograph for the ice dance, she did this even with the return of the two to the Olympics in 1994.

In 1991 Sujewa left Russia and went to North America. She works as a coach and choreographer at the Arctic Figure Skating Club in Canton, Michigan. From 2001 to 2012 she worked in this function successfully with Igor Schpilband.

To Sujewas students include Tessa Virtue & Scott Moir, Meryl Davis & Charlie White, Tanith Belbin & Benjamin Agosto, Maia Shibutani & Alex Shibutani, Emily Samuelson & Evan Bates, Madison Chock & Greg Zuerlein, Sasha Cohen, Yukari Nakano, and Jana Khokhlova, which the current partner Sujewas son, Fyodor Andreyev is.

At the World Championships 2011 in Moscow ended with Tessa Virtue & Scott Moir, Meryl Davis & Charlie White and Maia Shibutani & Alex Shibutani three of Schpilband and Sujewa in Detroit coached ice dance teams on the podium.
