Marine snow

As marine snow, the phenomenon of particle rain is referred to in the sea.

Has an abundant supply of phytoplankton at the sea surface, the collection of large armies of crustaceans result, from copepods ( Copepoda ) or krill, which feed on them. Your excretions stick with dead algae and form a continuous stream of particles in the ocean. This marine snow sinks into deeper zones where it's providing, inter alia, the soil organisms of the deep sea with food, but it can also pass through upwelling to the surface and cause regular algal blooms.
