Marinus Bester

Marinus Bester ( born January 16, 1969 in Hamburg ) is a former German football player.

Career

Marinus Bester began his career at Werder Bremen, but was there but not the role of a reserve player and also was first at the Hamburger SV and FC Schalke later borrowed 04 before moving to the Regionalliga Nord. After a successful season at Lüneburg SK Best returned in 2000 back to Hamburger SV in 2002 and helped with vital to ensure the promotion to the Regionalliga. 2003 Best finished his career and was team manager of Hamburger SV.

The greatest successes of his career experienced Marinus Bester largely on the bench. When winning the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1992 and in the DFB Cup victories in 1991 and 1994, he came on as a substitute at halftime.

Best played a total of 52 Bundesliga matches and scored five goals.

After the end of his active football career, Marinus Bester joined the amateur club SG Scharmbeck - Pattensen, where he worked as a coach in youth. By 2013, he manages the U-19 of the Association. For the 2013/14 season he will take the first men's team division of the circle. Furthermore Marinus Bester was elected in November 2013 as the new head of the football department of the county division TSV Eintracht Hittfeld.

It also functions at Hamburger SV in the position of team manager.
