Mario Abbate

Mario Abbate ( born August 10, 1927 in Naples; † 6 August 1981) was an Italian singer and actor.

He became known by many Neapolitan songs, such as "mare verde ". He also played himself in three films: "E Napoli canta " (1953) by Armando Grottini, " Accadde al commissariato " ( 1954) by Giorgio Simonelli and " Operazione San Gennaro " (1966) by Dino Risi with Mario Adorf and the Neapolitan cult comedian Totò.

Abbate was 53 years old.
