Mario Altmann

Mario Altmann (* November 4, 1986 in Vienna) is an Austrian ice hockey player, who plays for EC VSV in the Austrian Hockey League since 2010.

Career

Altmann began his career in the youth ranks of the Vienna Eislöwen Club and came in the 2003/04 season for the first time in the first team in the National League for use. A year later he moved to the Vienna Capitals and played in parallel in the Austrian U20 league and Erste Bank Liga. In his first season with the Capitals, he won the Austrian league title with the club. In the following years he developed into one of the fixed components of the team, but wanted to try and abroad. A change in the Swedish second division, the HockeyAllsvenskan to Örebro HK but was unsuccessful and he ended the season in Division I at Karlskrona IK. In the summer of 2010, the EBEL Club EC VSV brought him back to Austria.

Internationally

Altmann took two times to World Youth championships and played at the 2009 World Cup for the first time in the national team of men, but had the team's relegation to the Division I accept.
