Mario (American singer)
Mario Dewar Barrett ( born August 27, 1986 in Baltimore, Maryland) is an American R & B singer and actor.

Biography
At the age of four years were discovered at Barrett after buying a karaoke machine increasing interest in the music. In the following years he took part in several talent shows and singing competitions until 2001, an agent noticed him and helped the young singer at the age of 15 years to a record deal with J Records.
2002 finally appeared Marios first, named after himself studio album, for which production showed among other things responsible Alicia Keys and Darkchild. The first single Just a Friend ( part cover of the same name Biz Markie - songs ) developed in the USA to be a hit and climbed to # 4 on the charts. The debut album reached the Top 10 and was later even awarded with gold.
After a two year break finally Barrett announced in 2004 back again. With the decoupling Let Me Love You he managed a worldwide number - one hit, and the second album Turning Point could surpass the success of its predecessor by far. Subsequently, three other singles were released, two of them exclusively in the USA.
End of 2006, Mario made the first time as an actor in the films Step Up on the side of Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan, and Freedom Writers with Hilary Swank and Patrick Dempsey 's attention. End of 2007, the third album of the singer, Go!, Cooperated in the well-known producers like Timbaland, Scott Storch, Jermaine Dupri, Ne- Yo, Alicia Keys, The Neptunes, Rich Harrison and Akon.
Marios fourth studio album DNA released on 13 October 2009.
On July 17, 2013 Mario was during a performance at the New York radio station Hot 97, the release of his fifth studio album Restoration known. The album is released on 17 September 2013.
