Mario Carević

Mario Carević ( born March 29, 1982 in Makarska, SR Croatia, SFR Yugoslavia) is a Croatian football player.

Career

Carević has caused at the age of 18 years at the Alpine Cup, a competition, participate in inter alia, Austrian, Hungarian, Slovenian and Croatian clubs, sensation and was awarded the tournament in 2000 as the best player. Carević is considered technically skilled, physically robust and strong in the tackle. 2004, while the U- 21 Championship in Germany, he had assignments in two games. In 2003, he debuted in the Croatian national football team.

He played from 2001 to 2004 for the Croatian club Hajduk Split and in the season 2004/ 05 for the Saudi club Al -Ittihad. In the season 2005/ 06 VfB Stuttgart secured the services of the Croats, who signed a contract until 2008.

Carević was borrowed from the 2006/07 season at Hajduk Split to Croatia for a year. For the season 2007/ 08 he moved free transfer to the Belgian first division club KSC Lokeren. He is 1.86 m tall.
